1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to stealanegg.org (the “Site”), an unofficial fan-made guide for the Roblox game Steal An Egg. It explains the data practices of the Site itself. Roblox and other linked services have separate privacy policies.
2. Information processed
The Site has no user accounts, comments, contact forms, newsletter signup, or advertising system. It does not ask visitors to submit names, email addresses, Roblox usernames, or other profile information.
In production, the Site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-D0K1KGY8GJ) and Plausible Analytics to understand traffic and page use. Depending on the service and visitor settings, analytics data may include the page viewed, referring page, date and time, general browser and device information, language, approximate location derived from an IP address, and technical interaction or performance data. The Site does not intentionally send names or Roblox usernames to these analytics services.
Hosting and security infrastructure may also automatically process technical request data such as an IP address, browser and device type, requested page, referrer, date and time, and error or security events.
3. Cookies and local storage
Google Analytics may use first-party cookies or similar browser technologies to distinguish visits and produce usage statistics. Plausible is used as a privacy-oriented analytics service and is not configured by the Site to set analytics cookies. Standard request information is still transmitted when either analytics script or a related endpoint is requested.
A hosting or security provider may also use strictly necessary technologies to deliver the Site, balance traffic, or prevent abuse. Visitors can restrict cookies through browser settings, although those settings may not block every server request.
4. Analytics, Roblox images, and external links
Analytics requests are sent to Google and to the Plausible script endpoint at data.page-views.com. Their handling of data is governed by their respective policies. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Plausible’s Data Policy.
Game artwork is loaded from Roblox’s image delivery network. When a browser requests those files, Roblox or its delivery providers may receive standard request information such as an IP address, browser details, and the referring page. Clicking a Roblox or Sportskeeda link takes you to a third-party website governed by that site’s own terms and privacy policy.
5. How technical data is used
Technical and analytics data may be used to measure readership, understand which guides are useful, improve navigation and content, deliver pages, maintain reliability, diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and protect the Site. Where a legal basis is required, processing necessary to operate and secure the Site is based on the legitimate interest in running the service. Analytics-related consent or opt-out rights may apply depending on a visitor’s location.
6. Sharing and retention
The Site does not sell personal information. Technical and analytics data may be handled by Google, Plausible or its delivery endpoint, and providers that host, secure, or deliver the Site. The application itself does not maintain visitor accounts or a separate visitor-profile database. Retention periods for analytics and infrastructure logs are controlled by Site settings and the relevant provider.
7. Children’s privacy
The Site is a general information guide and does not ask children to provide personal information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information through a future Site feature, contact us so the issue can be investigated and the information removed where applicable.
8. Privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of personal data, to object to certain processing, or to withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. Because the application does not maintain visitor accounts or profiles, the Site may have no application-level record that can be linked to an individual visitor. Requests can still be sent using the contact address below.
9. Changes
This policy will be revised if the Site changes its analytics configuration or adds advertising, accounts, forms, newsletters, or another feature that changes how personal information is handled. The revision date at the top will identify the latest version.
10. Contact
Privacy questions and requests may be sent to privacy@stealanegg.org.
